Apryll Wallace

2026 School Nursing is my Superpower Nominee:

Apryll Wallace, Noblesville Schools, Indiana

Apryll is outstanding at building relationships with students. She learns their story and works to get to know them and help them be successful in school. As you know youth mental health is in crisis and this nurse is focusing on change with one student at a time. Unfortunately, one of our buildings experienced a traumatic event several years ago that affected not only the students in that building, but the entire community. As a result, this nurse has been caring for and helping these students to deal with the trauma and learn coping strategies to help them process and move on. This nurse provides a safe space for every student. She works to help students manage their anxiety and develop coping skills that they can use for life. Students know if they are having a rough day they can stop in for a hug, some encouraging words, and a space to reset. She is always friendly, has a huge heart, and cares for people in the best ways! Apryll works with students to find a solution that works for them. Whether it’s a morning check in to start the day off right, a mid day reset with fidgets and music or just a smiling face to break up their day. Attending a large high school can be overwhelming and she works to know each student by name so that they feel seen and heard when in the clinic.
