School Nurse Superpower Nominees

Nurse H is an outstanding nurse who brings energy and positivity to her campus each day. She provides excellent care to both students and staff, demonstrating strong assessment skills and genuine empathy. She understands the value of data and uses it effectively to communicate with staff, including presenting on trends related to students missing class unnecessarily. She has also supported a new nurse at a neighboring campus by helping gather and present data to administration to address high clinic volume. In addition, she is partnering with a colleague to lead a journal club, fostering professional growth through discussion of current nursing literature and best practices. Although this is only her second year in school nursing, she is already making a meaningful impact and is well on her way to becoming a leader in our district.
