School Nurse Superpower Nominees

▪She cares about her students and remembers details that allow her to care for “the whole child”. In one particular instance, she had an emergency with one of her elementary school students. She knew and included home and family information that helped her provide appropriate care for her student in a way that, for most of us, might not be top of mind to do so in that age group. She gave Narcan which revived this student. ▪She shares recordings of her handwashing classes which allows team members to facilitate the delivery of our own elementary school handwashing classes. ▪She is always willing to assist in providing team coverage in case of absence due to illness or PTO. ▪She is a knowledgeable and trusted preceptor and colleague. ▪She is a fair, balanced, considerate, and kind person who is an asset to our School Health Program.
