2026 School Nursing is my Superpower Nominee:
| Stephanie Tutt LPN, SAVANNAH-CHATHAM COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM, GEORGIA |
Nurse Stephanie Tutt has the innate ability to see what matters. For the past four years, Nurse Tutt has served as the school nurse for Building Bridges Middle School and Building Bridges High. Nurse Tutt is the only nurse on our team of over 60 nurses to serve two schools. Her ability to see outside the box coupled with her determination to bring change where change is needed has impacted the lives of many. During her tenure as a school nurse, Nurse Tutt has been a champion for practice excellence, air quality, safe schools, equitable treatment of staff and students, and gratefulness. She continuously seeks learning opportunities and singlehandedly worked to secure a grant that led to a team of our nurses having the opportunity to take Spanish classes a local college. Interestingly, but not surprisingly, Nurse Tutt’s grant award was the first grant ever given to a nursing team from the awarding foundation. Not stopping here, Nurse Tutt is also a CPR instructor and has, for several years, been a member of our district CPR training team, who have together trained hundreds of employees. Additionally, she has participated in student training activities, ensuring that her students understood they had the power to make a difference. I’ve witnessed Nurse Tutt raising money for a student who needed a particular pair of boots for work. I’ve seen her learn to knit so that she could teach her students something productive to do with their hands. I’ve seen her fight for students that others would leave standing and most of all, I’ve seen her do all of this and more, with a heart of pure fire and gratefulness. For her work, dedication, expertise, and love for her profession…Nurse Stephanie Tutt is nominated for the supernatural superpower of being CLAIRVOYANT.
