School Nurse Superpower Nominees

Sarah Isenberger is an elementary level school nurse caring for roughly 800 students and 200 staff members. She excels in a fast-paced, constantly changing school environment. Her critical care skills are exceptional. She has provided prompt skillful nursing care both in day to day visits; but also in emergency situations. I have witnessed her exceptional care for students experiencing seizures, diabetic lows and extreme highs, students and staff experiencing broken limbs, caring for trached and wheelchair bound students, students with terminal cancer and staff members experiencing heart attack and stroke like symptoms. She is a thoughtful educator to both staff and students. Explaining and teaching them about health and wellness. On top of all of this she is our nurse leader. She puts in hours off the clock to better improve our craft of nursing and brainstorming ideas to better improve our school health program. Her love of nursing is evident in her day to day care.
