School Nurse Superpower Nominees

Billie is the glue that holds her school together! She expertly takes care of scratches, bumps, and bruises that happen during a school day while also taking good care of the hearts and souls of everyone student (and staff! and parent!) she encounters. Not only is Billie a top notch school nurse she also shares her passion for healthy eating, knowing where your food comes from, and gardening with the entire school. She has helped secure a very large grant for the school enabling the school to expand its farm to school status and day to day practices. Billie works with a high needs population of students and she does so with respect, compassion, and a no-judgement zone approach that allows every person she comes in contact with to be authentic in their interactions with her. Billie is the shining star of not only her school but of our entire school district.
